About IMH Academy
IMH Academy was established in 2000 with the objective of providing individuals with the opportunity to further their tertiary studies in Music so that they may pursue a fulfilling career in the growing music industry.
It draws on more than 25 years of IMH Music House’s experience in the music industry, including the provision of private music lessons, the training of school marching bands, symphonic bands and choirs, and participation and/or support of most local music productions. It aims to supply the fast growing music industry with competent and multi-talented music professionals in areas such as performance, education, research, journalism, music technology, conducting and composition.
It is the first and only college in Sarawak to offer tertiary education in Music which is approved by the National Accreditation Board (LAN) and Ministry of Education. This was a natural progression from the courses offered at its sister company - International Music House, which focused on the provision of music courses to individuals aged 3 years to adults for graded and leisure studies in a wide variety of instruments on a weekly basis.

Mission:
- To be the regional center for the research, documentation, preservation and research of Ethnomusicology and Music/Culture Studies.
- To provide wholistic junior music education up to tertiary level encompassing the classical, jazz, pop, contemporary and ethnic genres.
